I can get back to fully connected on the 64 bit version if I copy the 32 bit RV House folder and overwrite the 64 bit system's RV House.
Close rvhouse, copy the rvhouse folder from the system that works, and paste it and overwrite the files on the non-working system. Reenter house and it's blue.
If I close house and reenter, I'm sure it will be green again though.
Santi started having the same problem and this fix works for him too. I need to find out WHY this is happening and get a permanent solution.
Where do you have a 64-bits version? LOL

for me P2P is not working currently

the WHY was already said: the library used for p2p is crap.

KADC Server data is broken: deleting the files should fix the issue but currently copying from a working copy works. Zach/Arto fix it please in name of the community!

P2P thing has to do with your connectivity somehow. p2p is a shared network (net_serverless= in rvhouse.ini (empty setting which means it uses network) )
its a library issue, deleting some files break it (not sure) but deleting should help except for the download of contact.dat from rvhouse site.

Unfortunately this time for good. The free server solution we had was discontinued.

I have secured a new server. I will try to put up RV House server there soon, but the server has a new IP so it will require modifying RV House's configuration files and making a new release.

This will take a bit of time for me so I can't say exactly when it will be online again.

New server is up. You can try it by modifying RV House's configuration file (where centralized_server IP is). So when RV House is not running, modify it to have the following IP: 5.175.192.210

Restart RV House and see if it works. If it works I'll modify RV House and ask Zach to update the web-site.

You can download updated installer from here:

Can someone verify it works? If it does I'll try contacting Zach to update RV House web-site with this version.

The registration says you are going to receive an e-mail and the account won't be valid until you check the Re-Volt Zone e-mail and click on the activation link. Did you do this?

Not that I care very much since we have GameRanger, but it's a bit painful to see RVHouse die like this so helplessly.

RV House has been updated to version 0.93.7. It brings support for RVGL and an actually working Linux build. Download it below:
RV House for Windows
RV House for Linux

A complete changelog is not prepared yet, but I'm already releasing it to encourage testing and to give time for people to switch over. There is also a development thread where you can provide suggestions for future updates.

Share the news around, spread it far and wide..

I have officially run out of reasons to keep using Windows :thumbs-up:
[hide]Although I can not forward TCP/UDP ports for the router I currently use as it is not mine (I mean, I am allowed to use that router, but I am not the owner), so I may not be able to test RVH.[/hide]

Long, long ago, I sent a (still unanswered) PM with a RVH Spanish translation file to arto, though as Phantom and Santiii have just done another one and there is not a third party here to merge both translations, I'll just trust the other one.

btw
I was entered for 200 mins and I usually get a runtime C++ error in win7, and in XP it simply crash without any sign. I think this has to be the same. What do you think, huki?

Thanks for the report, Kipy. That's a KadC crash - KadC detects a memory leak and kills itself (it could even be a false positive, but I can't be sure). Yes, it appears keeping rvhouse running for too long causes this crash.

Also, thanks everyone for the language files. Keep more of them coming for other languages too.

Cordialement,

When a room is created on RV House, there is an needed information that does not appear in the eyes of other players.
It is the one that indicates the version used by the host : All versions 1.2 or RVGL .
It would be good to add this capital information during possible future updates of RV House.

Thank you in advance for your attention.
