Knowing that re-volt has sort of full network capacities (extensible) it could be used to create a new menu item that connects to RVHouse hub and attempt to discover existing games by querying the connected peers (like batch-searching) Maybe via a central server to avoid ISP issues about spam.
There also could be a good redesign in the match search UI: copy the lobby UI and somewhere (top?) add the search results (so we don't have to press space and its uncomfortable because it has to re-refresh, kinda unoptimized) the bottom part would display the game information directly (fetch all the info in a single refresh) (just like RVH UI transcoded to spru and game info shown instead of chat, also a version column on the matches list which is important)
The Wrong Version dialog should show the correct version to use.
and well, the idea of a dedicated server would be simply a text-only re-volt that fast launches to a track.
a vote system could be implemented, i can think something similar to GTA Online. Since right now on demand spawning isn't possible the dedicated would autorestart track when the first player joins.
and if right when the race is starting a player finished joining but spectating either spawn the car or autorestart the race.
PS: i should have made multiple threads but its sort of messy and im lazy and got a bit excited.
PS bis: mainly intended for huki (hence the technical-ish suggestions) but anyone please feel free to convert it for the non-tech readers.
