Something that could be useful is the ability to select AI nodes and be able to blacklist them from being selected as a respawn point upon repositioning.

There's a few tracks where this is a problem, such as this part of Venice where if you accidentally drive into the water, chances are you'll be placed at the bottom of the ramp (just in front of 61665) and facing backwards.

I specify "blacklist" because if it were a whitelist system, the respawn points in a poorly-made extreme track could easily end up being too far apart.

the ai nodes love to overlap themselves, also its facing backwards because of ai themselves, if they ever fall in the thing, you would have to place a invisible floor and that would be simply cheating. it's how it works, remember re-volt was released in a wip status pretty much.

It's also logic, the last node you have touched is that one (or its the closer one) and thus repositions you there.

There's already a "blacklist ai nodes system" on revolt, so why do you wish a new on ?

It is called : Track Zones !

If you fail somwhere on the track you are repositionned on the nearest ai node on the last "valid" track zone (the one before your fail)

So in Venice and others custom tracks (Museum 1 too) you need to use 2 or 3 differents tracks zone ID to avoid this

On Venice the water/ramp/door track zone id must be id09 lower than the rest of the cave with id10 ...

just tryed and work perfectly !

but you must put an ai-node at the beguinning of the next track zone and a secound one near it, if you put it just before the end of the previous track zone of cours it'll never work ;)

as far as i can see you must drive correctly on 2 consecutives ai-nodes to get the track zone valide, and be repositionned on this track zone

you have the key [1] the one upper Q (or A for french) to see ai nodes on Track zone editing mode
