Where is the save file located for RE-VOLT? I'd like to transfer a game to another system, not start over. Is it possible?

there is not any
press "Windows key"+R (at the same time) and write "regedit"

then go to:

Code: Select all

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Acclaim\Re-Volt\1.0
on the left: "..\ Re-Volt\1.0", right click on "1.0" and press export
save the .reg file where do you want
_

Importing:
double click on your .reg (save) file and tada!

In that case add "SysWow64" into the string after \Software\

Code: Select all

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\SysWow64\Acclaim\Re-Volt\1.0
I hope that helped :)

This is Re-Volt not Grand Theft Auto, dude.
If you don't want to start over, than simply cheat. :P

It seems the save file only works for the version it was made on. Using a newer version loses all progress.....

That's not true. Just export the whole re-volt registry key said earlier, install re-volt in the new pc, and then double click the exported .reg file to update the entries.

It seems to be for me.

If I update the .exe to the newer version, I lose my progress.

If I use the old one, it's there.

Even if I use the .reg

That's strange.. have you tried running the game with administrator privileges? Win7 is a bit tough on registry access..
