I very fond of that image. I hope the track flow will be as well (we can already guess some funny part of the path).
Good luck for the remaining job.

Another little teaser. You can't see much of the track, but I thought this would make a neat image.

Looking like it's going to be stellar Zach! And Gambito, your track looks real sweet! What a jump in details from your last one.

Hey, isn't it time for a new teaser, here? It makes a lot more than 10 days since the last one. ;)
Is the project taking shape, or has it stalled for a moment? We'd like to know how things goes...

It is currently stalled for the moment. I am actually reworking some of RVZT's website processes. Trying to clear out some of the obsolete junk and better streamline things. Here's a little teaser though, it's kinda old, but previously unreleased.

Looks nice. Anyway, how is the mod going Zack?
I think you will need some time to finish it! How many months?

Hey, Zach!
I found really much pictures from your mod...
I only want to know:
Can I post here the link to those pictures?

No kriss. Those are the teasers I have been posting. I saved them up to post slowly when I don't actually have time to work on the mod.

Good reason...

Very nice, this one.
You seem to have brilliantly reuse the satellite dish idea from the revolt gallery, don't you? Glad to see that, I was waiting for it since the first time I played re-ville, where I was disapointed not to be able to drive on the radars (nevertheless this track is still IMO one of the best custom track !).

You computer has been kidnapped, and you have decided to pay the ransom finally? :)

Anyhow, I'm glad to hear news about this project. If I can do something to help, don't hesitate to ask.

Hey Zach, what's the current stage of this project, any news?

By the way, unless you're waiting for the v1.2 revolt release, I think that WolfR4 should now be able to provide quite everything needed for the Artic Blast mod, so you wouldn't even have to patch the revolt.exe yourself. If something is missing , you could let me know...

Well, it's kindof in limbo at the moment. Not really any interest in finishing it right now. I only work on it on rare occasions. I will finish it one day though. lol

I'm really in love of this mod. I'm making a mod aswell, with the same goal. I'm working on a track at the moment, but the theme is not ice, as your mod is. I really wish that you could resume this mod!

Not really for the mod itself but at least for the promising tracks. :)

EDIT: But I guess Zack is currently more than busy with his wedding preparations...

To be honest, I haven't done much since the last update. I will try to go through some of the tracks and release the ones that are finished. The mod itself may just never be finished... Remind me this weekend. :P

That's good news regarding the tracks. Thanks in advance for making those available. :)

And if it's one that I personally want to race on, then I might be willing to help finish those that aren't done yet...if that's something you are willing to consider. :)

Just what Mythic said, he's surely better in blender but I guess I have more tracks experience, its all up to zach.

And yeah Zach, i wish you your best wedding ever ;)

Just so there is no misunderstanding, I'm not trying to compete with anybody. I'm just offering another option for getting these tracks out into the community. :)

And while I haven't made one from start to finish yet, I've been spending quite a bit of time editing my favorite tracks so I could get used to the tools. You keep hearing me say I don't have enough time to do everything I want to do, right? And that's in addition to all the stuff you have seen I've been doing with the Amanra XT lately. So yeah, I've been busy. :D It's never been a matter of knowing what needs to be done in order to make a quality track, I just previously had no experience with modding or making tracks for this particular game. I simply completely and utterly ignored that aspect while I was concentrating first, on playing the game normally, then on making some vehicles.

I've actually been doing various forms of level-building for years. I did some pretty cool stuff in Morrowind that never saw the public light of day, and some truly epic things happened with the Tribes:Vengeance editor that no one ever got to play with but me. :D So I decided to do something different this time and give a little back to the community that gave me so much in the form of cars and tracks that they had uploaded. Something of an equal energy exchange, if you will. <smiles>

So yeah, cameras, triggers, farce fields, AI nodes, lights and objects have been fairly well explored with excellent results. If I remember correctly Namco Racer already had them done, but you can see my replay cam work in my video thread at RVL on the Corporation Ave. track (which could use a little tweaking, but that was one of my first)...and again in my upcoming vid of me screaming through Dave's Canyon of the Wolves. Great track btw, Dave! It's got 'The Flow'. B) I also made a couple other minor edits to the fog and textures so again, you'll be able to see the kind of thing I tend to do when I put my personal spin on something.

Blasted smilie limit! <big grin>
