I have a problem when I made a new car today. The body is too low and the car looks like it has literally sank into the ground. Is there any way to "jack up" the car???

Aeon
Check your car's body offset:

Code: Select all

;====================
; Car Body details
;====================

BODY {; Start Body
ModelNum    0
Offset      0, 0, 0
If your Offset value is anything other than 0, 0, 0, then that's probably your problem.

If that's not it, then simply try raising the Y value of your tires.

Failing that, it could be that your car model is just horribly off center. Try rvcenter.exe.

I already tried to raise the Y value, which I assume is the second number...

The wheels touch the ground, but the body isn;t showing from the bottom, as it is "in the ground".

well, technically you would lower the second value. Since it is negative of the actual height.

Thanks again. After experimenting, I found a suitable value! It works! Thanks all!

One more annoying question (I fell like a n00b), to raise the antennae, you raise the Y value of the "Spinner"?

I don't think there is any need for raising the Spinner Y axis value...

the y offset in the "aerial" section should do the trick

Yes, the aerial is the antenna(s). The spinner is an optional spinning object used originally on the clockwork cars. It has also been included in some customs.
