I just installed a bunch of cars and tracks onto revolt. One of them replaced a skymap. I launched a single race and the game goes boom. :angry: Then I tried a fresh new install, and it still didn't work. any suggestions here???

well
there are a lot of things that can make Re-Volt to crash.
like :

1. You have more than 32 custom pro cars and you haven't TMMCC running.
2. Maybe re-volt doesn't support so many cars.
3. You used a car with wrong parameters.

And so i can continue. But I'm sure that the TMMCC is the problem. Do you have it ?
And how many custom pro cars have you in the Re-Volt ?

The registry might have screwed up on your computer. Try delete the Re-Volt folder inside it and re-install Re-Volt again.

if you have installed a track andor a car then you uninstalled it try this :
AntiCrash.reg wrote:Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Acclaim\Re-Volt\1.0]
"CarID"=dword:00000019
"LevelDir"="Nhood1"
if you have more than 67 cars in your cars\ folder, try to delete some
if you have more than 255 tracks in your tracks\ folder, try to delete some

=> 67 cars (all) + 255 tracks = the number before Re-Volt crash.

not working? install Re-Volt anywhere else, then try again

Usually, I'd expect it to work after the registry deletion, with all my progress lost. But I HAD TO backup all my levels and cars and experiment with each one to determine the crash. Apparently, these two levels were the troublemakers:

-Road in Space 2
-Road in Space Next Gen

How strange. :blink: :blink:
Now ReVolt works as clean as glass.

EDIT: I do use TMMCC
