Could someone please tell me where the progress in Re-Volt is stored?

I am moving to a new computer (Windows XP) and have installed Re-Volt from the CD, then copied the Re-Volt directory from my old computer (Windows XP) to the new one, in hopes the progress would transfer with it, but it did not.

Thanks,
Jon

Progress is stored in your computer's registry. I don't know if there's a good way to transfer information from one registry to another.

Run Registry Editor...

Go to "Run..." and type in "regedit" in the box.

Go through these directories:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
SOFTWARE
Acclaim
Re-Volt

When you have Re-Volt highlighted, right click on it, and hit Export.

Take that file to the other computer and run the reg file, and click yes, it will add this registry info to the new computer.

Thanks Adamodell.

That worked perfectly. I didn't even know that you could transfer individual items in the registry like that.

Thanks again,
Jon

Glad it worked. I was totally expecting it not to.

You could have just as easily used the ReVolt Extender utility to selelect/unselect the individual progress you wanted. Also can be used to setup ReVolt progress for several individual users.
You can download it HERE from my site.

hmmmm, here is something that would help you (command line)
open notepad and copy this code:

Code: Select all

regedit -e RegReVolt.reg HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Acclaim\Re-Volt\1.0
save it as: regrevolt.bat

now, once you execute regrevolt.bat --> RegRevolt.reg will be created, copy it to the new OS and execute it

good luck :D
